The fourth quarter of 2024 was marked by a volatile performance in U.S. stock markets, with all three major equity indices – the S&P 500, DJIA, and NASDAQ – hitting their all-time highs in early December. The first six months of 2022 have not been smooth sailing. The Fed has taken a few shots at record high inflation, and after recent readings, it seems to be heading in the right direction — downward. However, the question remains, can the Fed can stick the landing of bringing their inflation targets back in line without sending the U.S. economy into recession?
